Very nice with the car in winter
Tamara • 3rd Oct, 2016Everything was fine and receptionist was very helpful. if we had more time we would have stayed longer view is amazing and it's not to far from Paihia. the walkway at the beach is very nice, through the forest it's okay but it's going up and down and up and down and again... only one kitchen and bathrooms are open in winter but this was enough and everything was very clean.
A great place to relax and enjoy the scenery
David S • 3rd Oct, 2016We stayed three days in our campervan. Lovely relaxing place. Need to be careful of losing your spot after 5pm - no staff and new visitors cruise looking for vacant sites. Should be a way around this - eg red cones, or cable barriers to show the site is booked and paid for. Not a major concern but just be aware. Staff were very helpful, facilities very clean. Only two showers in the winter block - more for summer but still a bit on the light side for summer crowds. BUT we booked for one night, then extended to three because it was such a relaxing place with great points of interest close to hand. Well recommended!
Great views and central situation
Jen Cooke • 3rd Oct, 2016My husband and I stayed two nights here recently. The staff were friendly and helpful on where and how to get to places of interest in the area. The facilities were clean and tidy. Lovely views from our campervan over the estuary.
Kiwi • 3rd Oct, 2016We booked in as soon as we arrived in town then headed out for a bit of sightseeing, making full use of the map and advice provided by Bruce on arrival but would of been just as pleasant a stay if we had of spent the day sitting at the back of our cabin, as we had waterfront views of the river/bay. Wasn't overly impressed with Pahia so probably won't be staying there again but highly recommend Waitangi Holiday Park to anyone headed to the area. Showers were very hot which was very welcome on a cold winters night! :)
